Tanya’s 50th surprise birthday party had a masquerade these at The Ivy in Chandler. I love using the purple sequins backdrop for their photo booth pictures and every time I use it, it’s my favorite. Adrienne, Tanya’s long-time friend wanted to make Tanya’s birthday party memorable, and wanted Digital Expressions Photo Booths to help do that. We placed an extra picture in the memory photo album for Tanya for her memories.
Digital Expressions Photo Booths had a great time at Haley’s Sweet 16 birthday party. Haley’s theme was Cinderella and her colors were gold, pink, and white and, as soon as I walked into Pearls Banquet Hall and the owner showed us where the photo booth rental would be set up, I knew what backdrop I would use for the pictures. I always try to use any existing decorations in the photo booth pictures and her pictures turned out fantastic. I used our original photo booth setup and the guests really appreciated getting their pictures printed right away. I think the adults may have taken more pictures than the kids.
Dia de los Muertos is a holiday for remembering and honoring those who have passed. It is a festive, joyous time of celebration. For Joy’s birthday party, she had six face painters, who did beautiful work. The fire dancers were pretty awesome, as well. Digital Expressions Photo Booths met Joy at Leslie and Makenzie’s wedding reception in Tucson (Joy is Leslie’s mother). It was pretty awesome to see a lot of familiar faces. One of the face painters explained the meaning of Dia de los Muertos and I found the meaning to be extremely interesting.
Digital Expressions Photo Booths was pleased to be part of Howard’s 60th birthday party (70’s theme). Howard’s wife, Debbie, and I are long-time Jazzercise friends and when we purchased the new touch screen photo booth, Debbie wanted us to be the photo booth rental for her party because it does not take up as much room as our original photo booth. Because the party had 70’s theme, I chose a template for the photo booth rental that matched the theme – and chose a backdrop to coordinate with the template. As I am sitting at the photo booth, I recognize a lot of women from Jazzercise-Tempe. The last picture taken was with Debbie’s Jazzercise friends. The photo booth has a slideshow feature and it was fun for me to see the guests watching the slideshow in between photo booth pictures.
I remember our first photo booth rental in September 2010. I was a little nervous, but knew I was prepared and the night would be a success. About three months ago, Digital Expressions Photo Booths purchased a DSLR photo booth. I don’t know everything there is to know yet (i.e., slow motion and social media capability), but I am looking forward to learning. When Liam’s mom, Cami, hired Digital Expressions Photo Booths for Liam’s first birthday party, I found the perfect template for the touch screen photo booth rental and it was a huge success. Push the Start button and the photo booth does the rest. At Liam’s birthday party, I met Jeanna and Bill, owners of Jewelry Creations by Jeanna (the first picture below) — and Pop Pop and Je Je to their grandkids. I really appreciate meeting other small business owners in Arizona and believe we should all support one another.
When Kelly, Ryan’s fiance, called Digital Expressions Photo Booths about Ryan Dempster’s retirement party, I wasn’t just excited for myself, but was more excited for my husband, Mike, and partner in our company. Mike is a huge MLB baseball fan and when I told him we were hired for Ryan Dempster’s retirement party, Mike was pretty excited. Ryan retired after 16 years of playing as a pitcher for the Florida Marlins, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox, but he calls Chicago his home. Ryan’s surprise retirement party was held at Las Sendas Golf Club and he was quite surprised. His fiance, Kelly, planned the entire party. Prior to the photo booth starting, Mike enjoyed listening to the speeches everyone gave because he practically knew who everyone was and in particular, Gary Allenson, who played baseball at ASU with Mike in 1976.
We had a lot of fun taking photo booth pictures at Ryan’s party. It doesn’t matter how old you are — men and women alike love our open photo booth. We had set up the photo booth rental in a corner alcove that worked perfectly. Madison’s Sweet 16 birthday party was held at the Mesa Convention Center and the backdrop for the photo booth rental pictures is my favorite so far of all the backdrops I have created for events. Madison’s mother had sent me a picture that she liked with a lighted backdrop with sheer curtains and I came up with this (see below) for the photo booth pictures. Madison was beautiful on her special night and it was very apparent that she has a huge family and friends who love her very much. Madison lit candles for the favorite people in her life and her father/daughter dance was pretty special.
Alonso’s 15th birthday party was the male equivalent of a quinceanera and the event was quite spectacular. The party was held at Elements Events Center in Maricopa that is located next to Ultra-Star Multi-Tainment Center in Maricopa on the Ak-Chin Reservation. Alonso’s colors were dark purple and black and the centerpieces Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Alonso and his friends choreographed a pretty cool dance for the guests. The room was huge and because our Digital Expressions Photo Booths‘ rental was set up in the very back of the room, there were televisions set up throughout the room so the guests in the back could see what was going on in the front. Since the photo booth was open (and not just a box sitting in a corner), the guests at the front of the room could watch the fun the guests were having in the photo booth. The guests had so much fun taking pictures that Alonso’s mother added an extra hour to the photo booth rental.
Sedona’s mom and dad (Paula and Eric) booked our photo booth at the suggestion of Kristin at Orange Tree Golf Course. I looked at the contract dated August 14, 2014 and all of a sudden, a year has passed. We have had our photo booth rental set up in various locations at Orange Tree. This time, we were set up in the ballroom in the corner. It is perfect because we are out of the way, but everyone can see us. Unlike the traditional cookie cutter photo booth that sits in a corner, the guests took pictures the entire time. The only time pictures were not taken at the photo booth was during the candle lighting ceremony and speeches.
The theme of Sedona’s Bat Mitzvah was Dr. Who and Eric made a really cool Dr. Who teleporter that the kids went into. There was even a light in the teleporter! Paula had originally wanted a Dr. Who green screen but ultimately decided on the blue and white backdrop. I think that visually, a fabric backdrop looks better, rather than having a green fabric backdrop.
The DJ and MC for Sedona’s Bat Mitzvah was Living Energy Events and Productions. They were great! The kids had a lot of fun and the DJ was dancing along with the kids. Kristin, the event coordinator at Orange Tree is absolutely wonderful to work with. Orange Tree Golf Course is one of our favorite venues. She is very hands-on with the planning and throughout the setup, she was directing her staff to ensure the room was perfect prior to the guests coming into the room.
Jules and CJ combined their 40th birthday party, with an 80’s birthday bash theme. We had set up the photo booth in the front of the house so when the guests arrived, they would take their pictures as they went in. We enjoyed watching all of the guests in their costumes. Having an outdoor photo booth rental in phoenix in Arizona in July is usually very hot, but the weather cooperated due to a hurricane in Mexico. It was overcast with a slight breeze, so we stayed remarkably cool the entire evening. However, on our drive home, the rain started coming down, so the Digital Expressions Photo Booth ended just in time.
